Rory MacDonald is Awarded an OBE
Rory MacDonald, Chief Executive at The British Racing School has been awarded an OBE for services to the horseracing industry and disadvantaged young people.
Rory joined the British Racing School in 1992 and has successfully developed the School into a Centre of Excellence for Training those people working in the racing industry. The change to the School over the last 15 years have been phenomenal and today it boasts first class facilities and training which is delivered not only to those in the UK but across the world.
Gemma Dawson, Finance Director of The British Racing School says, "No one deserves it more, Rory is a very dynamic and driven leader. He never allows anyone to sit back or take anything for granted and is always encouraging us all to be better tomorrow than we are today. Rory has dedicated the last 15 years to the Racing School and we are all very pleased and proud that he has been rewarded with an OBE"
Rory, typically modest, says "It's a great thrill, and a surprise, but in my judgement this is a recognition of what everyone at the BRS has done and is doing for training in British racing. It's a great job and a privilege to be associated with the school, but it's a team effort."
