BRS – Leading the field
The School recently sponsored an Apprentice Handicap Stakes at Windsor and 9 out of the 10 jockeys were graduates of the School.
Current Champion Apprentice David Probert won the race and lead home a 1-2-3 with Louis-Philippe Beuzelin ruining the clean sweep and perfect 10 for us!
We have recently supplied all the jockeys for a couple of races, (9 and 13 runner events at Windsor and Newmarket), and victory went to Paul Pickard and Simon Pearce respectively. As part of our quest for omnipresence we have also been through the card on a couple of occasions at Bath and Salisbury this Summer. David Probert had winners on both of those cards and is challenging again for the Champion Apprentice title. The last person to win two Apprentice titles is fellow graduate David Harrison who completed the feat in 1992 and 1993. We wish David well in his Title challenge.
