Aiden Coleman

Race nine of the Racing Post Hands & Heels Jumps series took part at Fontwell on Wednesday 5th March.

The race was won by rising young star Aiden Coleman on Herald Angel.

Herald Angel is trained by Coleman's boss, Venetia Williams, who he joined from Henrietta Knights at the beginning of the season. This is Aiden's third win in this years series, however he will still need more winners to get by Kevin Tobin who is the leader of the series at the moment.

Aiden said "It's just my luck, three wins in the series would be good enough any other year". Tobin pulled up in the race, however he will still accumulate valuable points for taking part. No doubt both riders will be eager to secure good rides for the next race at Wetherby on 15th March.

Kevin will have to be very careful not to do what Paul Tolman did during the race and break the rules. He was found guilty of improper riding (using his stick) and suspended for seven days, however he will be able to continue riding in the rest of the series and therefore continue to benefit from the series.
