Amateur Rider National Hunt Course
The British Racing School is the main provider of amateur jockey training in Great Britain. This course is designed to help potential amateur riders understand the standards required to obtain a riding permit from the British Horseracing Authority (BHA).
The course is 5 days, fully residential and includes:
- Riding
- Schooling session with Yogi Breisner/Richard Dunwoody
- Video analysis
- Simulator training
- Fitness assessment & advice
- Diet & Nutrition advice
- BHA Rules and Regulations
- BHA Security
- Sports Psychology
Prior to attending the course, the applicant must be proficient and experienced in the following:
- Galloping a racehorse at speed
- Riding work on a racehorse
- Schooling a racehorse over race hurdles at speed

The cost of this 5 day course is £700.00 inclusive of tuition, accommodation, meals and refreshments.
