Training
Come and use our excellent facilities and take advantage of our expert tuition to help you get ahead in Pony Racing!
Pony Racing Training Days are available at The British Racing School for those aged 8-15. Training Days are run on a level based system. Levels I to 3 and Advanced Training Courses are available.
Level 1 is mandatory as it acts as an assessment day for Health and Safety reasons. On completion of this day each rider and pony combination are assessed and then invited to attend another training day at the level we feel is suitable.
Training Days across the 4 levels includes tuition on balance, style and technique, pace, control and awareness. Training takes place in the classroom, on the horse simulators and on your own ponies. Each session is videoed which is reviewed concluding each day.
"Advanced Training is taught by former Jockey and resident jockey coach, Richard Perham. It's a fantastic opportunity for all of those who choose to take this course!" - Gemma Waterhouse, Finance Director at The BRS
Training days run throughout the year during school holidays and cost £40 per person.
