Hello

Another week has flown by only 4 more to go now! What an eventful one it has been.

The beginners seem to have settled in really well and everyone is starting to pull together as a team.

The start of the week however didn't go so well for some with 4 people taking trips to the doctor for various injuries not all of which were horse related!

Yet another new horse arrived on the yard, fresh from a local trainer in Newmarket. He is a stunning horse to look at and it will be interesting to see how he settles into his new surroundings and ridden work. I will keep you posted on his progress.

We also had some very helpful children from a riding school in London joining us on the yard. They are part of a fantastic initiative for inner city children, to help keep them off the streets and have a chance t learn about all aspects of horse care and riding.

That's all from me this week folks, hope to catch up soon and let you know how the advanced got on tackling the straight gallop.

Hi,

This week has been increasingly quiet as we have had a few people off with injuries, so we have been struggling down the yard having to cover all the extra horses.

On Wednesday another new horse arrived at the yard so we are all looking forward to seeing how it works alongside the other horses.

The beginners are now getting to get used to the routine much better and are finding their feet. All parts of our NVQ work has been going well especially down the yard. We did our lungeing assessment with some of the horses yesterday which went well for everyone. We all had fun trying to plait our horses up for our other assessment this week alongside learning how t do all the different bandages i.e. stable bandages, tail bandages, exercise bandages etc. The beginners are also pushing on well and are doing their bandages now so they will be able to fully tack up their horses ready for exercise soon.

I will let you know how this new horse gets on this week and catch up with everyone next week!

Matt
