Introduction

Since it opened in 1983, The British Racing School has provided training for thousands of young people who want to work in racing.

Many of these had underachieved at school. Some had no previous experience with horses. By providing structured, high quality training, the school is able to give each individual a sense of achievement and self worth.

Centre of excellence

Whilst the School has been successful in accessing Government funding for training, it is reliant on charitable donations and bequests for capital projects.

We are extremely grateful to our past donors who have enabled extensive redevelopment of the school. The school is constantly striving to improve its facilities and there are several planned capital projects for which we are seeking funding.

We are appealing to all those who are involved in racing and have enjoyed the unique thrill it can provide. The need to encourage and train young people to work in the industry is essential to its long term future.

What to do next

We are always happy to show any interested parties the training being delivered and our facilities at The British Racing School.

This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions about the school and to discuss our future plans and capital projects. If you would like to visit or require further information please do not hesitate to contact us.

Donations can be Gift Aided and can be attributed to a part of the building to ensure that the donor’s generosity is properly acknowledged.
