BRS Blog. Week Commencing 06/11/17

As with any course graduation, the day is very bitter sweet: we are always sad to see the trainees fly the BRS nest, but excited to see where their careers in Racing take them. Monday saw Course 313 leave us. From everyone at the BRS, we wish you all future success; and we hope to see you back for further training in the future. Good luck!

On Sunday, Course 316 spent the day in Thetford Forest at the local Go Ape. This is a ritual for all the courses, as a means of building team ethic and relationships. All the trainees gave the day rave reviews, as their adrenaline kicked in to top gear.
One would be forgiven for believing that the BRS has been transported to Abu Dhabi this week. Firstly, BRS sponsored Shetland rider, Rocco Dettori, has been invited to ride in a Pony Race there this evening. We would like to wish him Good Luck and hope that his BRS breeches are the lucky charm that helps him to victory. Secondly, our Senior Jockey Coach, Richard Perham is leading a coaching seminar for 120 jockeys as part of the Sheikh Mansoor Festival. And finally, former BRS graduates Darragh Keenan and Milly Naseb have flown over to ride in the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Apprentice World Championship. We wish both the best of luck. It is great to see the BRS flag flying on International shores.
We are delighted to welcome back the Korean Grooms this year, who have taken on their customary task of breaking in 2 yearlings. Both yearlings are progressing well and have received extensive long reining and lunging, and will be backed this weekend. Check next week’s blog for a further update of their progress.
