BRS Graduates Find Success in Charity Races

Stable Staff Week began and finished with a Charity Race held at Lingfield Racecourse on the 1st of July and Doncaster Racecourse on the 8th of July. All of the riders partaking in these races were stable staff from across the country who may otherwise not get the opportunity to ever race ride.

Several BRS graduates were riding in these races and we are delighted that both charity races were won by former BRS trainees. Ellie Jones won The Betfair Three Feathers Cup at Lingfield Racecourse, for trainer Jamie Osbourne. Ellie graduated from us in May 2016 and rode Ceyhan (GB).

Mark Simms won The Betfair Clock Tower Cup at Doncaster Racecourse on the 8th of July for trainer Karl Burke. Mark has worked in racing for nearly 10 years and has spent time travelling around the UK and Europe with his job.

We want to congratulate everyone who took part in the Charity Races throughout the week, and also to extend our thanks to all stable staff who work exceptionally hard behind the scenes.
