Former British Racing School student, Adam Beschizza won the first leg of the 2010 Training Race Series at Windsor yesterday.

Adam, who is know as 'Rich Tea' (because of his surname) in Julia Feildens yard was riding at Windsor for the first time and recorded his third career win as an apprentice. He was riding for Simon Dow and England/Chelsea footballer, Joe Cole (who owns Poppanan) for the first time and boasts a 100% strike rate for the pair.

As part of the Training Race Series (sponsored by Betfair) a British Racing School Jockey Coach walks the course and gives valuable advice to the young riders before and after the race. Former group winning jockey Michael Tebbutt was the coach at Windsor yesterday and Adam was really impressed with the advice that Michael was dishing out prior to the race. He said "Michael was brilliant; he stood us all in the stalls during the course walk and pointed out to all of the riders how to gain a good break and find a good position in the race. He also gave us some really great advice on how to ride the track". Michael, who was coaching the young riders in this series for the first time was thrilled to be representing the British Racing School and helping the young riders. He said "It's great to be helping these young jockeys to improve their performance. As a young rider I had certain people that I could call on for advice, and to do the same for these apprentices is really special". "Adam gave his horse a great ride and will definitely be a rider to keep an eye on for the series".

Michael will score each rider on their professional approach to the series as well as award the riders win and place points. The updated points can be seen on www.brs.org.uk

The eventual winner of the 12 race series will be given a working holiday valued at £2500 from the sponsors 'Betfair'
