Adam Wedge

BRS Graduate Adam Wedge has made the decision to turn pro following a successful 2 years on the point to point circuit.

Adam came to the British Racing School back in 2006 on course 197, after graduation he went to work for Richard Phillips, where he stayed for 2 years. Adam then went on to work for Chris Bealby. But on the Monday just gone he started a new era of his career by making the move to Evan Williams, where he has taken out his conditional licence. He should be an asset to Williams with his initial 10lb claim for the boss.

Currently at the top of the Racing Excellence Hands and Heels Series, Adam is certainly making a name for himself on the circuit having already impressed Richard Perham when he was at the Racing School for his Conditional/Category B Licence Course in May 2009. It was during this course that he scored a record 99% on his fitness assessment; a score which is still firmly at the head of the table.

So far Adam has ridden 3 winners under rules with the most memorable being 66-1 outsider Di Kaprio winning the £55,000 DBS Spring Sales Bumper for trainer Chris Bealby.

The BRS would like to wish Adam all the luck for the future and hope he has a successful career.
