International Racing School!
Last week the British Racing School welcomed 8 Polish Jockeys for a week's intensive training with Jockey Coach Richard Perham.
Having landed in the UK late on Sunday night there was no time wasted; the jockeys were in the classroom first thing on Monday morning.
The week consisted of simulator training using the state of the art Dartfish technology (something thing the Polish have never come across before), Diet and Nutrition lectures, Fall Training using the Equichute, a trip to Lingfield, the Jockey Injury
Management (JIM) team and of course Riding, all of which was filmed for review in the classroom.
The group proved themselves to be very capable throughout the week and really seemed to take on board everything they were taught. Thankfully Aggie, our Yard administrator, was on hand throughout the week to translate, as their English was limited and Richard's Polish was non-existent!
The week concluded with the jockey heading into HQ on Saturday morning to ride out for various trainers. A big thank you goes out to Marco Botti, John Butler, Julia Feilden and Toby Coles who were kind enough to accommodate them. It was a very fitting conclusion to the week of hard work and enjoyment!
