Its a flying finish for Lauren Hall

Pony Racing Academy Number 10 came to victorious close for Lauren Hall on the 10th September when she won her race at Wolverhampton Racecourse.

Thereshegoes never looked like being beaten over the 5f race after a confident start from Lauren, who was wearing the lucky Niarchos Family colours, but when they turned into the home straight and she was asked to make her move she strode confidently away from the rest of the field.

The Pony Racing Academy, which is supported by the Racing Foundation and the Frizzy Foundation for this particular pony, gives children, who wouldn’t normally have the chance, to have a go at pony racing.   It requires dedication form child and rider to come to The British Racing School every Saturday for 12 weeks to prepare for a ride in a race.

Lauren, 15, has decided to make horse racing her career choice, and having left school in June she will be joining the BRS Apprenticeship Course in Racehorse Care at the end of this month.

The other two riders from Academy 10 will hopefully be strutting their stuff at Lingfield on 24th October.
