BRS Graduates Seek Success

24th Oct 2017 | News, Uncategorized

It has been a fantastic couple of weeks for past BRS graduates who are achieving great things in their careers.

Saturday 21st of October saw David Egan crowned Champion Apprentice just beating his rival, also a former BRS graduate, Kieran Shoemark by one win. ‘’It’s been a great year, I couldn’t be happier with how it’s gone’’, Egan told the Racing Post. Egan graduated from us in 2015 and is now heading out to America to work for Wesley Ward. He joins the ranks of other former BRS graduates to be crowned Champion Apprentice including last year’s winner Josephine Gordon, Oisin Murphy and Tom Marquand, plus many more.

Champion Apprentice from 2015, Oisin Murphy rode his first Group 1 winner in France for Martyn Meade aboard Acclaim. Shortly afterwards he secured his second Group 1 win at Woodbine Racecourse in Toronto for Andrew Balding.

Last week also saw Tom Marquand reach 200 winners with a double at Kempton, a fantastic achievement having only ridden his first winner back in December 2014.

David, Kieran, Oisin and Tom should be hugely proud of their achievements and we look forward to continuing, following and sharing their successes.
